You will
not believe the amount of information in this book. I am not
a trained writer or journalist. I have never even had a course
in writing. I am a chemist, teacher and a hands-on practical
guy. I have spent 32 years being a technical expert in the pool
and spa industry. If you wanted to know something technically
about chemicals I was they guy who could find out all about it
and then explain it to you in terms you could understand.
I have
written or co-written seven books on pool and spa water chemistry.
I have written more than 120 articles. I started and co-owned
Service Industry News, a twice-monthly trade newspaper for pool
service technicians. I also wrote a monthly column for two years
at Pool & Spa News called Lab Notes. I started and co-owned
Leisure Time Chemical and I developed most of their products.
In all, I have invented, developed and formulated 109 chemical
products.
During
my career I have collected all books, articles and printed information
I could find on pool chemistry. In addition, many of the trade
magazines for municipal drinking water treatment, well water
and home water treatment have articles with information that
could be applied to pools. In all, I have more than 175 books
and more than 600 articles that contain information about water
chemistry as it relates to pools.
Everything
I have ever learned about or found on chlorine as it relates
to swimming pools is in this book. I have used hundreds of books,
articles, brochures, papers, memos, reports and other documents.
At one point in my career I was taking more than 400 chemical
tech support calls per month.
I am an
independent consultant. Therefore I do not have a company line,
I have no ties to any manufacturers and I can give you the straight
information on water chemistry without sales information or spin.
I have a reputation for truth and honesty and the information
in this book is unbiased. It is an all-in-one source for pool
chlorine information.
The best
$29.95 you will ever spend on a reference book.
